The best characteristic of CSDiff is its ease of use. Simply type in or browse and click on the two files or folders you wish to compare and within seconds you have a tidy and easy to read comparison ready for use.

Document Comparison
CSDiff's file comparison view gives you a clear, single screen comparison with easy navigation between changes. The comparison can also be viewed in Diff format. Comparisons can be performed at various levels, including  importance of whitespace and showing results as new line, word or letter.

HTML / XML Reports
All reports generated in CSDiff can be exported into HTML, XML and normal text format, allowing multi-purpose reports which can be viewed by virtually anyone and anywhere.

Folder Analysis
The Folder Analysis mode lets you compare two folders and their sub-folders. Files which have been modified can then be compared in document mode giving you the absolute insight to all changes made between two folders..

Advanced Folder Reports
Once a folder comparison has been made, the powerful report manager lets you customize the report you wish to save, down to the smallest detail. The reports can be exported in various formats and even include hyperlinks to files and comparisons.

View Changed Lines
When viewing a file comparison of two large files in friendly view, the need might occur to view only changed lines. Not only does CSDiff let you do this, but you can also define how many unchanged line you want to display before and after every modified line.

 

CSDiff is a component of CS-RCS -- GNU RCS compatible revision control system that is fully integrated with Windows. You are welcome to use CS-RCS for personal use, free of charge!
