Q: When should I use CS-CVS?

If none of the above are true in for you project, then you may use CS-RCS Pro.

Q: If I use CS-RCS and later decide to move to CS-CVS, how can I do it?

A:
You need to upgrade your license to CS-CVS. You'll pay the difference only.

Q: How can I move a CS-RCS project to CS-CVS

A:
For example:

  1. Zip the project folder, for example, \\server\RCS\C\Project1 into a ZIP file.
  2. Copy the ZIP file to the CVS server.
  3. Extract the ZIP file at the desired location, for example: C:\cvsrepo\cs-cvs\Project1
  4. Create a CS-CVS project where CVS Root is "/cs-cvs" an the Module is "Project1"
  5. Confirm that you wish to connect to an existing project.

Q: How can I move a project created by another version-control tool to CS-CVS?

A:
Please import the project to CS-RCS as described at the CS-RCS FAQ. Then, follow the previous FAQ.
