The full CS-Converter application consists of two components, the server and client. The CS-Converter Server is actually a web service and must be installed to the Team Foundation site. The function of this web service is to communicate with Team Foundation Server. The CS-Converter Client application provides the GUI, executes the complex conversion logic and retrieves data from the original Revision Control Systems. The locations of either repository can be across a network or on the same computer as the client.
