Manual Synchronization
Top  Previous  Next

Once a project has been switched to synchronization mode, all conversion related menus are disabled.
The Status column indicates whether or not synchronization is required. The possible values are:
1.OK - revision not changed, synchronization not needed.
2.TFS Changed - revision added in TFS, synchronization needed.
3.Origin Changed - revision added in Origin system, synchronization needed.
4.Both - revision added in both TFS and Origin, synchronization needed.
5.New In TFS - new file added in TFS.
6.New In Origin - new file added in Origin system.

To synchronize a project:
1.Select the appropriate project form the tree view.
2.Click on Synchronize from the Project menu.
3.If any merging is required, you will be presented with the File Merge dialog. Resolve any conflicts and Click OK. For more information refer to File Merge Dialog.
4.The files should now all show OK in the status column. This may not be the case if there is a discrepancy between the server time and the client machine time, in which case you should repeat step 2 and synchronize the project again.

Note: Synchronization does not synchronize every file revision. It does, however, make sure that the head revisions match and may group revisions to a single synchronization action.
