Destination Mapping
Top  Previous  Next

The Team Foundation Project Options dialog is used to define a target TFS project or folder for an origin repository. All newly added conversion projects of that repository, will automatically be created as sub-folders of the specified TFS project. Please note that you may change the target conversion location of each project individually at any time, see Conversion Parameters for more information.

Click the (browse button) to open the Select TFS Project dialog and select an existing TFS project form a list. You may also type any folder name that you wish. If the folder does not exist, CS-Converter creates it in the TFS.

Project Conversion Destination

When a new conversion project is added to a repository, CS-Converter concatenates the project name to the repository mapped TFS folder to establish the actual conversion destination. That is, the converted project is created below the TFS project, using the name given to the CS-Converter project.

For example, if you mapped the repository to TFS project $/Test, the target path for your newly created project Prj1 will be:

$/Test/Prj1

When the source project has branches, the converted projects will be:

$/Test/Prj2
$/Test/Prj2-MyBranch
$/Test/Prj2-PreRelease
etc.

You may change the default conversion destination of an individual project at any time, refer to Conversion Parameters for more details.
