Username Map

Username Map enables you to map the usernames of the original repository to those of the TFS repository. This dialog is called automatically by CS-Converter when a project conversion is started and the converted project contains usernames (of the origin repository) that have not been mapped to TFS usernames. You should map all active users to TFS users. You may use the Options button to determine the action for retired users.

The Username Map dialog allows you to do the following:
·Click Scan to search the files of the project in the original repository for usernames. Prior to scanning, select the number of files you wish to scan. Note that the time to scan the files is directly proportional to the number of files indicated. This action will add names to the Original name column.
·Click Refresh TFS usernames list if you think that a TFS username is missing when trying to map usernames. This action will get an updated list of all the users currently listed in the TFS.
·Click Options... to set a default action when an unmapped username is found during a conversion. You may select one of the following:
1.Use current username - automatically maps the unmapped original repository username to the current TFS username.
2.Prompt for user mapping - the conversion process is paused and the user is prompted to resolve the issue, after which the conversion is resumed. This is the default setting.
3.Use the following username - automatically maps the unmapped original repository username to the TFS username indicated in the list box.
·Click Edit... to change the TFS username currently associated with the original username of the selected row.
·Click Add... to map a new Original name not already in the name map table, to a TFS name.
Note: Both Add and Edit open the Map Names dialog. This dialog allows manual editing of the Original name but limits your TFS name selection to the drop down list.
·Click Remove to delete a row from the name pair table.
·Uncheck Enforce one to one mapping to enable multiple Original names to be mapped to the same TFS username. Use this feature if a user has several names on different origin projects, or if you wish to map retired users to a single TFS user.
