Marking a milestone

To mark a milestone of a project with a symbolic name:

1.

Open the Milestone Library (refer to Using the Milestone Library in Working with Project Milestones).

2.

Select the milestone.

3.

From the Milestone action field drop-down list, select Mark Revision.

4.

Click Go!.

The Mark Revision dialog box appears:

   
The Mark Revision offers the following ways to treat instances where the desired symbolic name already exists:

Reassign – The existing symbolic name will be removed from the revision it is currently assigned to and will be reassigned to the revision defined in the selected milestone.

·

Keep – The existing symbolic name will kept and no symbolic name will be assigned to the revision defined in the selected milestone.

·

Ask – User will be prompted whether to Reassign or Keep the symbolic name.

Click OK to mark the milestone with a symbolic name.
