CS-RCS version 5.1

The major new features of CS-RCS v5.1 are:

  • Support for Windows Vista
    You may use any version of Windows for the CS-RCS client and server.
     
  • Support for Microsoft Office 2007
    CS-RCS is integrated with Office 2007 (and older) . You may issue CS-RCS commands from the RCS menu, analyze changes and insert RCS tags.
     
  • Support for Sun Microsystems OpenOffice
    CS-RCS is integrated with OpenOffice Writer and Calc. You may issue CS-RCS commands from the RCS menu, analyze changes and insert RCS tags.
     
  • Optimized storage for Office files
    In addition to the archive modes available for general binary files, Office 2007 and OpenOffice archives are created by a new optimized mode. This enables fast access for large files.
     
  • Bug fixes and additional minor improvements

This is a service release that includes few fixes and improvements.

CS-RCS version 5.0

The major new features of CS-RCS v5.0 are:

  • Optimized storage for Binary files
    In addition to the traditional reverse-delta technique, Binary files can be saved in few other modes, including zipped format and zipped reverse-delta. This enables optimized handling for every file type and support for huge file archives.
     
  • Cumulative Release
    This version includes all bug fixes and improvements released with v4.0 service releases.
     
  • Improved documentation and online help.
