I have installed ExcelDiff and rebooted my computer as told, but ExcelDiff doesn't appear on my desktop or on any menus...
When installing ExcelDiff, make sure to extract the executable files from the zip file you downloaded before installing. Once this is done, run the ExcelDiff20.exe file to install. Running the setup from within the zipfile will cause files needed for the installation to be removed duing reboot.
How do I configure CS-RCS to use ExcelDiff for HTML and XML documents?
After you install ExcelDiff, open the CS-RCS Properties and switch to the File types tab. Select the desired type (for instance, htm) and click Edit... and select Excel (add-on) as the Difference Analysis Tool.
This feature works with the following versions:
CS-RCS Basic version 3.0.185 and above.
CS-RCS Pro version 2.0.187 and above.
How do I use ExcelDiff from other tools?
You can specify the files to be compared on the ExcelDiff command-line. For example:
"C:\Program Files\ComponentSoftware\ExcelDiff\ExcelDiff.exe" "C:\Samples\BaseFile.xls" "C:\Samples\NewtFile.xls"
