How can I boost the performance of the CS-RCS commands?

| 1. | Open the Project Properties dialog box.
| 2. | Select the Advanced tab.
| 3. | Verify that the Use local cache option is set to True. (The CS-RCS cache is active by default. You should only disable this option for large projects you do not intend to use in the near future.)
| 4. | From the Project menu, click Scan New Files. The Scan New Files command searches the Repository tree for new RCS files and then computes their CS-RCS status. This operation can be time consuming. However, since the status information is cached, further usage of project commands, including the Update command and the Refresh command, will perform faster. Re-opening of the Document Explorer should be faster as well.
