How do I change the work folder of a project on all workstations?

To change the work folder of an Alternate-repository project on all workstations, edit the project properties and set the Work Folder parameter to the new folder.

To change the work folder of a Central-repository project on all workstations, please follow these steps:

1.

Select the project in the Projects tab and click Edit…

2.

Set the Work Folder parameter to the new folder. (Do not click OK yet.)

3.

Move the current repository folder to the desired repository location. (See an example below)

4.

Click OK.

5.

Click YES when CS-RCS asks for your confirmation to connect to an existing project.

6.

Click Open to launch the Document Explorer.

7.

If you don not see the project files, execute Project | Scan new files in the Document Explorer.

For example, if you wish to move the project from C:\Project1 to C:\Projects\Project1 then:

1.

Edit the project properties and set the Work Folder parameter to C:\Projects\Project1.

2.

Move <Repository Root>\C\Project1 to <Repository Root>\C\Projects\Project1 (For an explanation on the repository structure, see the Installation section of the FAQ.)
