I imported existing GNU RCS files. Why do I get an extra <lf> character in the work files?

This may happen if the GNU RCS files have created in DOS or Windows by tools that aren't 100% compatible with GNU RCS, or, when DOS files checked-in by Unix GNU RCS. Please email us a sample file (zipped) and we'll advise how to fix it.
