User Friendly
CS-RCS is one of the easiest version control
system both to install and to operate on a day to day basis.
The
Document Explorer allows you to view and organize all files
which have been checked-in to the Repository, as well as view general
information about them.

File Comparison
Modfied files are automatically viewed through one of the
ComponentSoftware's Diff programs. CSDiff, HTMLDiff and ExcelDiff give
you a simple, easy to read comparison of a variety of files, including text,
HTML, XML, MS-Word and Excel. |

Project Milestones
Whenever a project reaches a significant milestone (such as a
product release) it is recommended to mark its current status. This
mark allows you to "freeze" the current state of the project and to
recover this stage of the project if needed.
CS-RCS Pro allows you to compare milestones based
on Document names, Changes and Change details. |

Branching and Merging
Branching allows users to work on files in
parallel. The branch changes may be merged to the main development
trunk at any time. This is done automatically and should conflicts
exist, then these will be highlighted. CS-RCS supports an unlimited
number of branches. (Pro edition only) |

Workflow
Management
Workflow Management in CS-RCS Pro provides an easy, user-friendly
way to keep track of changes made throughout their whole lifecycle,
from initial check-in until final approval. This feature improves the
project manager control over changes and the quality of the final

Integration
CS-RCS is easily integrated with many Windows applications
and development tools. For instance, an RCS menu
menu is added to the MS-Word menu bar automatically when the program
is installed. This gives you access to many RCS features,
making CS-RCS part of your everyday desktop. |
