To install:
Before you start...
To read this document conveniently, check the "Word Wrap" option from the Notepad "Edit" menu.

1. Extract this file to a folder (for example: C:\Program Files\ComponentSoftware\HtmlDiff)
*** Introduction ***
ComponentSoftware HTMLDiff (CS-HTMLDiff) is an advanced file-difference analysis tool for Microsoft Windows. HTMLDiff is a great asset to anyone in need of analyzing changes which have been made between two revisions of the same file or folder. HTMLDiff  is commonly used when analyzing HTML and XML documents.

2. Register the CSHTMLDiffCtl ActiveX control. To do so, apply "Start | Run" and type:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\ComponentSoftware\HtmlDiff\CSHTMLDiffCtl.ocx"
Key features of CSDiff:
· Rich text display provides a unique, intuitive difference analysis.
· Comparisons can be made locally or over http or ftp protocols.
· Analysis of XML
· Analysis results in a single screen, making it ideal for printout.
· Folder comparison window sorted by any key.
· HTML reports for both single-file and folder analysis.
· Print and print preview of difference analysis.

3. Activate HtmlDiff.exe

*** Installation and Activation ***

Run HTMLDiff10.exe from a temporary folder and follow the instructions in order to install HTMLDiff to the desired location. 
(e.g., C:\Program Files\HTMLDiff)


*** To uninstall CSDiff ***

Run Uninstall.exe from your HTMLDiff program folder for the program and all its components to be uninstalled
or
click Start, Settings and then Add/Remove programs and select HTMLDiff from the list of installed programs.

Windows 95/98/Me/XP or Windows NT/2000 (NT 3.51 & 4.0 or later).
