Scanning For Shared Files

| 1. | Define the repository. This is explained in the VSS Repository Properties and Repository Options sections in the CS-Converter manual.

| 2. | Right click on the VSS repository icon in the tree view and select Add Project...
|
| 3. | In the Project Properties dialog enter a unique Project name.

| 4. | Type a project path in VSS, or select it by using the |
| 5. | Click OK to save your settings.

| Map the project to TFS
|
| 1. | Right click on the project and select Conversion Parameters
|
| 2. | Type a project path in TFS, or select it by using the |
| 3. | Click OK to save your settings.
|
| 4. | CS-Converter now calculates the conversion status, allowing you to verify the VSSConvertor conversion results. If you do not require the conversion status you may click Stop on the progress dialog.

| Scanning for Shared files
|
| 1. | From the Project menu select Scan Shared Files.
|
| 2. | CS-Converter scans the project in VSS and updates its shared files database. To view the results of the scanning, visit the TFSLinks Files web page. You may access this page via the administration page as described in the Linked (Shared) Files Setup section.

| 3. | The TFSLinks service now automatically replicates changes performed on one file to all shared files in TFS.
