Checking-Out the Latest Revision of a File

By checking-out a file, you can undo all the changes you made to a file since it was last added to the Repository. When you check-out a file, you are retrieving the last checked-in revision of a file.

To check-out TEST.TXT:
1.From the Windows Explorer, right-click TEST.TXT.  
The right-click menu appears.  
2.From the right-click menu, click Check-out.  
The following message appears indicating that TEST.TXT was changed, and checking out the file will revert all changes:  

 

3.To review the changes made to TEST.TXT, click Review changes.  
4.To edit TEST.TXT after it is checked-out, select Retain Lock. This option is always selected in a single-user environment.  
5.Click OK.  
TEST.TXT is checked-out and returns to its previous revision.
