Activating the CSDiff File Comparison Utility

CSDiff is a visual file comparison and merge tool supplied with CS-RCS. CS-RCS calls CSDiff whenever a revision comparison or revision merge operation is needed. You may assign alternative tools for any file type if desired. For more information, see Configuring the File Type in Customizing CS-RCS.

CSDiff is also available as a stand-alone folder and file comparison utility, and may be accessed from the MS-Windows CS-RCS program group. (Default location: 'Programs' | 'ComponentSoftware' | 'CS-RCS' | 'CSDiff'.) You may also access CSDiff by other methods, e.g. from the Windows Explorer 'Send to' menu. To configure the activation options:

Activate CSDiff.

From the File menu, select Settings.

Click F1 for details on activation options.
