Shelving

The shelving feature is used when you wish to "freeze" a certain state of a project which has modified documents that have not been checked-in. Shelving allows you to save a work state for later use or to share intermediate work with colleagues.

To shelve your modified documents:
1.Open the Shelved Library (refer to Using the Shelved Library earlier in this chapter).  
2.From the Shelving Library Dialog, press the Add button. This will open the Edit Shelved Dialog.  
3.Enter a unique name for the Shelving name.  
4.Add any comments in the Description and comments text area.  
5.Check the first checkbox to make the shelved item available to all team members.  
6.Check the second checkbox if you would like to keep the modified work files. Alternatively, you may leave the second checkbox unchecked if you wish to revert to the last archived version of the work files.  
7.Click OK to shelve you work.
