| Note: When working with many RCS files, the Scan New Files command can be time consuming. However, if the status information is cached, further use of the Refresh command (from the View menu), and the Scan New Files command (from the Project menu) will be faster. For information on how to confirm that the status information is cached (the program's default), refer to Advanced Properties in Customizing CS-RCS.
| · | Click Update to update your working directory to the latest revision of the RCS Repository. CS-RCS will also update the shadow folder of the project, if defined.
| Note: Unlike the Check-out command (shown below), the Update command does not give you the option to change the lock state of the files, and does not revert modified files to their previous revision.
| · | Click Check-out to check-out all documents within the current project. Use this command to check-out the latest revision of the RCS Repository to your working directory. See Checking-out Files later in this chapter for more information.
| Note: See the Update command above for a faster way to update the working directory.
| · | Click Check-in to check-in all modified documents within the current project. See Checking-in Files later in this chapter for more information. This command also scans the work folders and suggests to add new files to the Repository. (Tip: You may use the File Types tab of the Properties to exclude certain file types, for example OBJ files.)
