View Revision Dialog

When viewing a revision of a file, you are given the possibility to view the file with your selected tool or annotate sections by author, date and revision number.

The following View Revision dialog appears:

   


·Edit work file - Open the file in read/write mode for editing. This option is only available when accessing this dialog from the Document Explorer.  

·View Revision - View complete revision 'as is'.  
·Explorer association - View the file revision with the application associated with the file's extension by the operating system (i.e. by Windows Explorer).  
·Built-in - View the file revision with CS-RCS' internal file viewer. This option is only available for non-binary files.  
·User defined - Define an external viewer for the specified file revision.  
 
Check the Save settings for this extensions option if you wish to set the selected tool as your default tool for viewing revisions of files with this file extension.  
 
·Breakdown revision - Split the file revision into sections based on version information. This option is only available for non-binary files. (This feature is available on the Pro edition only.)  
·Author - Separate section by author  
·Date - Separate section by date  
·Revision - Separate section by revision number

Tip: You may clear the View | View Revision Dialog option in the Document Explorer if you want to skip this dialog on daily use.
