To avoid users from adding files from arbitrary folders, you should disable the
Create
permission on the system-level. To do so:
1.
Open the
Users
tab of the
Properties
2.
Click
Security
3.
Select the
Everyone
group.
4.
Clear the
Create
permission.
Then, enable the
Create
permission for projects where this is desired.
Tip:
Permission settings on a master project may affect all sub-projects.
