Using the CS-Converter Client - Introduction

The CS-Converter client allows you to view all your files in the old Repository, as well as general information about them.
From the CS-Converter client's Repository menu you can perform repository specific tasks such as:
·Defining repositories and projects to migrate from.  
·Mapping of repositories to TFS projects.  
·Editing the details of an existing repository.  
·Changing TFS repository settings.  
·Modifying conversion parameters.  

From the CS-Converter client's Project menu you can perform project specific tasks such as:
·Modifying conversion parameters.  
·Mapping old repository users to TFS users.  
·Converting files to TFS.  
·Fixing conversions.  
·Generating reports.  

The CS-Converter Client uses the default credentials of the user currently logged onto the computer for authorization purposes. If the user is not authorized to access the CS-Converter Server, an error message appears and the client application shuts down. To learn how to configure access permissions, refer to Security Settings.

To open the CS-Converter Client, perform the following:
From the Start menu, select Programs | ComponentSoftware | CS Converter | CS Converter

The document properties and CS-Converter Client menu commands are explained in the following sections.

In addition, the CS-Converter Client supports the following functionality:
·Select any project in the left-hand tree to control which conversion project is active and which files will be displayed.  
·Right-click on any repository or project in the tree to execute item-specific commands.  
·Sort the list by clicking the desired column header. Re-click the same column header to reverse the sorting order.  
·To locate a specific document, click the Document Name column and type the first letters of the document's name.  
·Place your cursor over any document in the list to view the document's title, if available.
