I can open files from the Windows Explorer, however, the Open command in the Document Explorer is gray. Why?

This may happen on some versions of Windows when the file has a four-letter extension, e.g., Jpeg or Java.

As a workaround, define at the Windows Explorer a three-letter type with the desired handler. For example, to handle Java files, add a file type Jav.
